The Gospel of John in the Bible, speaking of the creation of the universe, says, "In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word is God." It is through the word that we get to express our creative power and manifest everything in our life.

The word is very powerful in that it can produce unbelievable beauty in your life or through its misuse create a living hell. Your word according to Ruiz is pure magic. This is not as easy as it may appear, as we are programmed to be less than impeccable with our words. Think about how many times during the day you have self talk going on inside your head. Have you ever stopped to listen to what you are saying? Begin to pay attention to the words in your mind, as this is what is creating your reality.
