Welcome to Mindfulness Fridays. Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations and our surrounding environment. Mindfulness also means acceptance without judgment. Now that's a tough one. I'm sure we can all identify with thoughts roaming from past experiences to what may happen in the future. It is so difficult to remain in the present moment and see what is happening for what it is rather than trying to analyze the heck out of it and project its meaning. Today, try this simple technique in practicing mindful behavior.
Wherever you are and whatever you are doing take a moment to live in the moment. Do not connect your experience to the past or project your energy to the future. Peel off the insecurities and just concentrate on your work.. Know that everything will unfold in a natural manner. Embrace the freshness of the moment, perhaps the aroma of a hot cup of coffee or the sound of the wind outside. Try to live in the moment of pure joy and stop listening to those around you trying to disrupt your moment. Start doing all the things you always wanted to do and keep your wish list close to your heart.
