The Master Visualizer ~ Salvador Dali

 Salvador Dali

Almost everyone has heard of Salvador Dali, the crazy artist, mostly associated with melting clocks and a crazy moustache. The genius that is Dali goes much deeper though. Dali was not only a painter but an artist of many talents, and perhaps one of the most intriguing things about him was his perfect awareness of one of the biggest secrets of success. Dali was a master visualizer, who took bold actions without a shred of any evidence nor assurance, while not in the least lacking complete confidence, and in the end, he usually got what he previously so boldly announced. Dali's life was an experimentation and a game of possibilities. His spirit may have pulled him in various directions, but it must be understood that whatever his endeavor or obsession was at the time, the spirit of Salvador Dali was always vibrant and alive.

Salvatore Dali knew the secret of success wasn't about having more, but rather knowing everyday holds possibilities. Those of us who choose to be in the moment will see possibilities and transform them into reality. Below are some interesting quotes by Dali. Take your time today to read through these quotes and see if you can put them into action.

Quotes by Salvador Dali

"Every morning upon awakening, I experience a supreme pleasure: that of being Salvador Dali, and I ask myself, wonderstruck, what prodigious thing will he do today, this Salvador Dali."

"Have no fear of perfection, you'll never reach it."

"I shall be so brief that I have already finished."

"Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings."

"At the age of six I wanted to be a cook. At seven I wanted to be Napoleon. And my ambition has been growing steadily ever since."

Accepting What is

Accepting What is:

“There is nothing either good or bad,
but thinking makes it so.”
- William Shakespeare, “Hamlet”

This quote by Shakespeare says it all. How many of us get trapped into thinking things are bad or good based on our need to judge. This leads to a state of unhappiness.  Instead of judging whether something is good or bad we need to let go of the thought process and accept "it just is."

When we take this perspective in life and stop fighting against the Universe we can save ourselves from a lot of grief. We can still make changes and improve a situation but in a way that works with our intention to learn, to grow and follow your mission in life. There is a big difference between judging a situation and changing it because you want to grow from it.

When you find yourself judging, try to understand why you are doing that and then stand back and redirect your thoughts to acceptance. You may be surprised by the outcome.

Trusting and Letting Go: The Energy of the Serpent

Snakes have long held numerous interpretations in our world; being revered in certain cultures to the ultimate symbol of evil in others. In the Medicine Wheel the snake represents the south direction and the root chakra. Therefore, this symbol is about shedding the past and making sure our physical requirements are being met. It is about walking upon this earth softly so we can spend time to tend spirit.

The snake tells us to surrender to the "small stuff," and when we do so the organizational principles of the universe manifests so things can happen for us. Just letting go allows things to align and fall naturally into place. When we cast out worry then divine action can take the lead and the life you were always meant to live takes form.

Here's to giving the universe a chance to take the lead today.

Imagination

Butchart Gardens

Imagination is considered the power of the mind. It is a world where thoughts and images are nestled in the mind to form a mental concept of what is not actually present to the senses. Imagination is a form of meditation between an externalized reality and internalized thought. It is a powerful way to attract what is in the thought world into reality. Whatever you might see the imagination to be, it is certainly useful. It is a shame most people keep their imagination turned off and dare not turn it on. Below are some wonderful quotes about the imagination. Perhaps they will move you to spend some time imagining what could be.

Quotes for the Imagination:

‘Having imagination, it takes you an hour to write a paragraph that, if you were unimaginative, would take you only a minute.’ ~Franklin P. Adams

‘The man who has no imagination has no wings.’ ~ Muhammad Ali

‘Imagination is the highest kite that one can fly.’ ~ Lauren Bacall

‘Imagination was given to man to compensate for what he is not; a sense of humor to console him for what he is.’ ~ Francis Bacon

‘It is often said that men are ruled by their imaginations; but it would be truer to say they are governed by the weakness of their imaginations.’ ~ Walter Bagehot

‘Imagination is the air in the mind.’ ~ Philip Bailey

‘The sorcery and charm of imagination, and the power it gives to the individual to transform his world into a new world of order and delight, makes it one of the most treasured of all human capacities.’~ Frank Barron

Let's all delve into our imagination today and see what tomorrow brings.
