8 Angle Pose

This is a pose that can be a little scary. It is best to warm up your hips before attempting this pose with the following poses:

  • Happy Baby
  • Forward fold rag doll variation
  • Wide leg forward fold
  • Lunges
Once you feel warmed up, have a seat and extend both legs out in front of you. Keep your left leg long and bend your right knee and hug into our chest. Relax your shoulders downward and sway your leg side to side to open up your hip. Bring your right leg and the underside of your knee to rest on top of your right shoulder. Cross your left ankle over your right and make sure your right shoulder is under your right knee. Make sure your hands are firmly planted on the ground shoulder distance apart. Start to bend your elbows as you squeeze your legs together. Reach your chest forward and transfer your weight onto you hands. Stay for a few breaths and repeat on the opposite side.
